SEREMBAN: Malaysia Cup champions Negri Sembilan and Super League winners Selangor will kick off the M-League season with the Charity Shield match (Sultan Ahmad Shah Trophy) at the Paroi Stadium here on Jan 9.
Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) competitions committee chairman Datuk Che Mat Jusoh said the Charity Shield match (8.45pm) would mark the opening of the Super League season.
“Tickets for the match, priced at RM15 (covered) and RM8 (uncovered) for adults and RM8 (covered) and RM4 (uncovered) for children, will go on sale at Wisma Persatuan Bolasepak Negri Sembilan (PBNS) and the stadium on Jan 8,” he said after chairing an organising committee meeting here yesterday.
Meanwhile, Zimbabwe scored a convincing 3-0 victory over Selangor in a friendly match at the Shah Alam Stadium on Thursday. Striker Mushekwi Nyasa scored all the goals for the Zimbabweans.
