Portugal substitute Silvestre Varela scored in the 87th minute to hand his side a vital 3-2 win after a brace from Denmark’s Nicklas Bendtner had seen the Danes come from behind.

The ball is fired across from the left by Coentrao and reaches Varela, who miscues a left footed volley. He recovers the ball though and turns to smash home with his right foot.
