m-85: Newcastle’s players look shocked but when they see the replay they will see why. There wasn’t a lot of contact as I say, but I’ve no idea what the defender was doing.

m-84: Wow. Coloccini gets a straight red for a rake on Suarez. There wasn’t much contact but the intent was there.

m-74: Another Liverpool change, as Downing replaces Sahin, and goes to the left flank.

m-67: GOAL Brilliant from Suarez! Liverpool level. Newcastle squander possession in midfield, Enrique thumps it long and Suarez chests it down, holds of Coloccini, rounds Krul and finishes calmly. That is simply brilliant from Suarez.

m-62: Liverpool enjoying over 70% possession this half.

m-49: Another injury blow for Newcastle as Ba limps off. Bad news for the visitors. Sammy Ameobi comes on in his wake.

m-45: HALF TIME - more indecision from Liverpool as the half comes to an end, Gerrard and Allen confuse each other on the edge of the box and Taylor curls one not far wide. And that is the whistle, Liverpool will wonder how they trail at the break.
